Last month, rumors abounded of possible condos that would replace the distinctive Flax Art & Design store on Market near Valencia. The Planning Department has released the Preliminary Project Assessment that was filed last month, providing additional details on the proposed development. The proposal was filed by a development consulting company and looks to be on behalf of Presidio Development Partners, which is responsible for projects across the western United States, including Fox Plaza Condo Tower in San Francisco. Plans include demolishing the existing building to construct a 9-story, 85-foot tall mixed use building with with 160 units, 123 parking spaces and 4,500 square feet of commercial space.
